In fact, because we bake everything to order, and are so limited on capacity in December, in previous years Black Friday actually cost us money in lost revenue of full-price sales closer to Christmas (lol @ me 🙃 ) Silly billy huh? 🤪 Sometimes keeping up with the big guys just ain't good business! Small business owners feel a huge amount of pressure to compete and keep up with big business, regardless of what we feel is right for our brand and what this costs us, which sucks and isn't a fair reflection of the amazing artisan products we pour all our time, hearts and souls into making. BUT, I get it! Stuff is hard right now, and discounts are lush. 🔥 DAMNATION DUMP 🌞 Definitely not recovered yet, and can't believe it's already a week since we arrived to set up for our first @damnationfestival at @bowlersmanchester 🥹What a weekend.Thank you everyone who came to the stall, especially those returning multiple times, and the folks saying we 'make their festival' after also visiting us at @arctangentfestival @outbreakfest or @foefestbristol 😭🥰 This shit legit gives me life, and is the reason we still keep going despite *gesticulates at small biz owning horrors*Shout out to @antojitostruck for being the best neighbour, taco slinger and electricity provider I've ever known 🖤 And my dream team/emotional support emos: Katie, Shaun, Anneka, Lois & Ethan& @coffee.by.gulp for providing the most perfect oat flatties and @everest_bread sos rollz. And for giving me the satisfaction of being right, after I bullied them into running the coffee stall by insisting they'd be rammed all weekend. Crushed it. 👏 ☕️ Didn't get to see many bands cos I was too busy feeding u, but everyone I saw melted my face either with sound or actual tears (big over-tired weeps to @deafheavenband @dinofcelestialbirdsmusic @merylstreek_ and @hiddenmothersuk ?
