This guy is the one I point too when we get a dark chocolate purist on the stall, or my go-to for a proper chocolate fix with black coffee ☕ @naomijane_brandandcontent did an amazing job with our goodies late last year but I keep forgetting to share the photos because I'm a spanner 🔧

❓The term “neurodiversity” is used to describe the estimated 1 in 7 people (15%) in the UK who have one or more of the following: Dyslexia - Dyscalculia - ADHD - Autism - Tourette’s Syndrome - Dyspraxia - Dysgraphia⁣⁣⁣⁣
✊It's thought to have been coined by autism activist Judy Singer back in the '90s in a bid to move away from the ’medical’ view and the idea these are things to be “cured”.⁣⁣⁣⁣

🌈 Neurodiversity (and for me specifically, ADHD) can be viewed as a difference in cognition, not a disorder. ADHD isn't a childhood thing that you grow out of, it's something you're born with (thought to be hereditary, hi Dad) and continues throughout life. It's not just 'naughty boy syndrome', it's common across all genders, although can display differently.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
🥳 I am 'me' because of ADHD, not in spite of it. The more I learn about it the easier I find to accept the way I am. I'm proud of who I am and how I'm wired. The impulsivity, curiosity and creativity means I can come up with 50 new ideas on the spot, while the ability to hyperfocus means I can crush deadlines and work intensely under pressure. It's in no way a breeze but it's better now I have the language for it, rather than just thinking I'm failing at being a grown up.⁣⁣⁣⁣
